Objectives of the project

  1. Build an ontology that allows to describe references, re-use, and patterns in argumentation.
  2. Apply this scheme to a selection of texts from the tradition of Christian-Muslim religious encounter, generating a knowledge base.
  3. Use the knowledge base to answer research questions regarding the evolution of arguments and argumentative structures in Christian anti-Islamic polemics.
